Fiberglass Laminator/Boat Builder

Responsibilities

• Use a spray gun to gel molds
• Wet and roll material according to lam schedule
• Demold and prepare mold for next part

-Hand lamination-

• Light carpentry to build strong-backs from CNC wooden parts.
• Laminate over core in vinylester.
• Spray and fair using gelcoat.

-infusion-

• Gel, skin the molds.
• Stack laminates and core as per lam schedule.
• Setup resin and vacuum lines.
• Install bag, set infusion, infuse, remove consumable material.
• Demold and prepare mold for next part

Requirements

• Prior lamination experience required, hand laid and infusion a must.
• Thorough understanding of resin, gelcoat, and infusion.
• Excellent attention to detail and correcting problems during the preparation phase.
• Own a smartphone to track projects on app.
• Own a car.
